Which young artist will display their work in a museum, appear on The Joy of Painting, and win $20,000?
Learn MoreWill likes to draw highly-detailed robots with intricate features and nature scenes (mainly different types of deep sea creatures). He will also create his own Pokemon creatures or draw existing ones. He enjoys recreating the Sonic The Hedgehog characters too. He will also sometimes draw out inventions like Rube Goldberg machines he's come up with in his mind.
Who or what inspires Will to create? Will is often inspired by his favorite author and illustrator, Dav Pilkey (Dog Man, Captain Underpants), his own Lego creations, educational shows he watches (like Crunch Labs), nature, or books. He has many ocean-focused books that inspire him to sketch the animals he sees. His mind is constantly working, and the robots just happen pretty organically! He also gets inspiration on the invention side from his Enrichment class where he is creating his own Rube Goldberg machine.
What is Will's favorite art form? Will prefers to draw first in pencil, then often goes over the work with permanent black marker and occassionally adds color using markers, colored pencils, or crayons.
