My art is a mix of landscapes, portraits, creative still life’s and various abstract pieces. All of my paintings experiment with bright colors, as I view the world through my artistic lens. I love to incorporate color that may not be in the reference making it original and makes it unique in its own style. My favorite medium of choice is oil paint, I occasionally use acrylic, charcoal and oil pastels. I am currently on a craze of painting portraits with captivating backgrounds.
Who or what inspires Viviana to create?My art work is heavily inspired by the world around me. My family, past memories, the political climate, feelings such as nostalgia, happiness & growth. Recently my inspirations have mostly been family members and exploring relationships throughout my artwork. In addition, my father owns a fruit garden, I am heavily inspired by the insides of the fruits, capturing them in a unique perspective. I am currently entered in this scholarship to help pay for my upcoming Bachelor's at Pratt Institute.
What is Viviana's favorite art form?My favorite art form is painting. I enjoy both acrylic and oil, however oil has my heart. In May 2025 I had to paint a mural in acrylic with strengthened my confidence with acrylic paint. If I am not painting I enjoy charcoal or oil pastels. To strengthen my artistic process in June 2025 I began making my own canvases, painting on large scales for less.
