Learn MoreVandan puts his heart and soul into everything he makes. He’s such a perfectionist that if a 3D model doesn’t turn out exactly right—or a paper airplane doesn’t fly like he pictured—he can have a total meltdown. It’s a lot of big feelings to handle, but I know it’s just because he cares so much about what he’s building. Watching him push through those moments to finally see his vision come to life is what makes me so proud.
Who or what inspires Vandan to create?Honestly, Vandan’s inspiration just comes from his own wild imagination! He’s always dreaming up adventures for Sonic or some big space exploration. I think playing with Legos and Magnatiles really helps him figure out how things fit together, too. Sometimes he’ll just stare at a blank piece of paper until an idea clicks, and then he turns it into something completely new. It is just so much fun to watch him turn a simple thought into a story.
What is Vandan's favorite art form?Vandan loves to draw! He uses markers and colored pencils to create anything he can imagine. He is happiest when he’s sitting down with a fresh piece of paper and a tray of bright colors to start a new project.
