The last photo shows a piece selected for a recent art show at Dix Park! Inez uses a lot of detail, and her art communicates her intensity of feeling about the animal she is drawing as well. People pay her for pet portraits. She loves getting to know the personality of the animal, or hearing details about them from those who loved them. She also photographs animals, paints, and works with colllage.
Who or what inspires Unez to create?Inez has a lot in common with Bob Ross. She has insatiable curiosity about animals, and burds hisit her bedroom window feeder where she watches them while drawing. At a local festival, and Inez was petting dogs as usual. But this time she started offering $5 portraits, and had a backpack full of art supplies with her. She made about $50 that day, and brought people a lot of joy. And she loved it because it gave her an excuse to get to know the dogs on a deeper level, and Starr at them longer.
What is Unez's favorite art form?She loves portraiture, and prefers to work with pencil. In the past she has been obsessed with micron pens for very detailed pen drawings that are quite ornate. She also makes hilarious cartoons about people and animals, and her unique sense of humor really comes through. She is experimenting with paint now that a local portrait artist (who doesn’t usually teach kids, but made an exception due to her talent and inteinsic drive) is guiding her.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like America’s Most Artistic Kid, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
