Learn MoreMy artwork is inspired by where I live and what I love. Living in South Carolina, I create a lot of coastal art like sea turtles, octopus, and sand dollars. I also enjoy drawing cartoon characters and adding a drip effect to give them more personality and movement. I like experimenting with different mediums because it helps me keep my art creative and fun.
Who or what inspires Ty to create?Zdzisław Beksiński and Vincent van Gogh inspire me to create. Beksiński inspires me because he wasn’t afraid to explore dark, emotional, and surreal ideas, and he created art based on feeling instead of rules. Vincent van Gogh inspires me because of his bold colors, movement, and how he expressed emotion through his brushstrokes. Both artists remind me that art doesn’t have to be perfect it just has to be honest.
What is Ty's favorite art form?My favorite art form is acrylic painting on canvas. He enjoys the flexibility of acrylics and the ability to build layers, texture, and vibrant color in his artwork.
