Tell us about Shaniyah's artwork.

Shaniyah began drawing SpongeBob when she was just 3 years old. When she showed it to me I knew she was a creator. Her paintings are a little different. That’s where she shows her emotions and sometimes they are happy and carefree. Other times she hurting. It’s beautiful to me.

Who or what inspires Shaniyah to create?

I be cannot say that she is a child that can just create on the spot. She has special moments when she gets inspired. Cats and dogs inspire her a lot. They make her so happy and light. Other times she’s missing her absent father and she has to release it through expression in art , coloring, painting, bracelets, etc. She doesn’t like to tell others how she feels but you can easily tell through her projects.

What is Shaniyah's favorite art form?

Her favorite is to just get messy and loud with vibrant colors. Get it everywhere; in her hair, under her nails :) No boundaries is where she really enjoys herself.
