Thank you for supporting Mayli in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Blood Cancer United and their mission to cure blood cancer and improve the quality of life of all patients and their families.
Since she was 3 years old and finger painting, she has always loved to create whatever came to mind! She loves drawing, painting and sculpting with clay. She has always had multiple art projects going at once and loves to challenge herself with even the most tedious pieces. She has an ability to think through the layers of painting without ever having had a formal art class.
Who or what inspires Mayli to create?The beauty and other artists around her, as well as a very vivid imagination are her inspirations. Art was an escape for her at the age of 5 when she was diagnosed with leukemia. It kept her mind busy going through very hard things. In 2023 she relapsed and had to undergo a bone marrow transplant. She asked to paint during a lengthy hospital stay and began painting pictures beyond what we knew she was capable of. It has been so much fun to watch her grow in her abilities!
What is Mayli's favorite art form?Acrylic painting and using clay on canvas to create texture and 3D effect.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like America’s Most Artistic Kid, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
