Mayla has been captivated by coloring, drawing and creating since she was 18 months old. Every single day she can be found sketching!
Thank you for supporting Mayla in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Blood Cancer United and their mission to cure blood cancer and improve the quality of life of all patients and their families.
Mayla's art ebbs and flows with what she is into at the time. She can be found drawing comic book animal figures, painting sunsets and sunrises, creating animal masks with felt and accoutrements or decorating a space. She is always armed with a pencil and a sketchpad and is constantly creating something out of nothing with her vivid imagination.
Who or what inspires Mayla to create?Mayla LOVES reading and I think many of the books she reads spark her imagination to create. She is an inspiration to her family and her peers not only because of her creative nature but because she is very even keeled and absolutely exudes kindness.
What is Mayla's favorite art form?Right now I think her favorite art form is drawing and coloring. She's also started to get into mixed media with mask making!
