Malia loves to sketch and shade, and has the innate ability to know how to blend colors and formats with ease. Without any professional training, she seamlessly creates masterpieces using many different styles and mixed media. In only minutes, she’s able to draw or craft intricate works of art, with details and shading that rival professional adults…and she’s only 8 years old!

Who or what inspires Malia to create?

Malia is inspired by her love of animals, and people she cares about. Her passion for animals and art intersect more than anything else, as she’s able to bring life and character to the creatures she draws. She also truly enjoys creating artwork for the people she loves, and one can really feel how much she cares when they receive a work of art from her!! Simply being bored can also bring out a little inspiration in her as well, she says!

What is Malia's favorite art form?

Malia’s favorite art form is drawing and sketching, and she’s particularly good at blending and shading. Using mixed medias is also a close second for her, as she enjoys cutting, pasting, and even taping different materials together to make new and unique creations!
