Lucy likes making art that is unsettling and disturbing. She really enjoys painting eyes since everyone has their own unique eyes. Lucy loves to paint, but she also draws and works in mixed media. Her work has evolved a lot since she was little and she is always making more artwork. Lucy also works in the theatrical world of art. She builds and paints sets for her school shows and is the theater department’s scenic charge artist. Set design and theater holds a very special place in her heart.

Lucy is inspired by the people around her and her friends who also love art. She is also inspired by her amazing art teacher, Ms. Smith who is so helpful and kind to her. Lucy draws inspiration from the world around her as well and emotions. Her interest in theater also contributes to this especially her scenic work.

Lucy enjoys paint, mainly acrylic. It allows for bright color and interesting textures that can’t be found in other paints and mediums. However, she also uses oil paint and graphite and is open to all materials! It has been fun working on larger scale sets recently since she’s joined theater.
