Learn MoreLevon draws a dramatized version of what he sees. The inspiration comes from all around: film, books, and nature mostly. His subjects mainly include animals, bugs, monsters, and mythological beasts- some he reads about and some made up with names and descriptions of lifestyle/habitat. It’s raw. It’s original. It always makes us wonder what is going on in his head. At school conferences, his teachers show his classwork and in the margins and backsides of schoolwork it is always filled with art.
Who or what inspires Levon to create?Watching movies and then recreating his own hand drawn version of the action he sees. The library inspires: mythological beasts, monsters, spooky stories, animal brawls, gore. Nature: he loves to draw the insects he captures and write biographies about them.
What is Levon's favorite art form?Pencil on paper is his go-to. He has tried crayons, markers, pens, paints, pastels, but he really prefers pencil. He has dabbled in collage and zine making but prefers to take a pencil and paper wherever he goes.
