Leona loves art. Leona IS art. The way she shows up in life is a work of art. She is very loving and creative in all things. She loves to draw realistic things the most but also enjoys writing, and just started painting. I believe it takes her to another world. She is also thinking of taking up welding to be able to create things on a bigger. There are so many mediums she would love to try! She is looking into volunteering at the hospital to do an art program with patients receiving treatment.

We are a pretty artsy family. Growing up, I would do all sorts of art projects with Leona and her 3 sisters. That gave her the opportunity to find her natural talent and creativity. Once she figured that out her own mind was her inspiration. She pulls from her emotions to express herself.

Drawing is her favorite form of art. She spends hours in her room drawing and listening to music in her own world. She says “art makes me feel limitless, what I can’t say I can show through my art.” There have been a lot of life changes for us in the past few years and I think art helps Leona cope with everything. It gives her comfort and expression.
