He is obsessed with getting the details right. He’s actually really good at drawing hands, which I know is super hard to do! He loves making things look realistic, but then he’ll switch gears and draw these wild characters or really cool abstract pieces that come out of nowhere. It’s amazing to see him jump from a super detailed sketch to something totally imaginative. He just has a natural knack for it.
Who or what inspires Landan to create?Landan comes from a family of creators, and he’s always been inspired by seeing his dad draw since he was little. That spark turned into a huge passion for him, and now, creating is one of the main ways we bond at home. Whether he’s challenging himself to draw something realistic or coming up with a wild new idea, he’s driven by that family creative
What is Landan's favorite art form?Mixed media drawing for sure. He’s definitely a drawer at heart. He loves using everything from pencils for his realistic sketches to markers and pens for his characters and abstract pieces. He doesn’t really stick to just one thing—he likes to experiment with all sorts of tools to see what kind of cool details or patterns he can come up with.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like America’s Most Artistic Kid, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
