Kay does a lot of sketching, drawing (digital & traditional), costuming and mask making. They’ve recently started doing more painting. Most of their art is of original characters and animals in a cartoony style.
Who or what inspires Katherine to create?They are inspired most by the beauty of the world around them. I remember conversations we’ve had about the way sunlight changes based on the weather, and about all the different colors you can find in a cloud. They also love animated shows and how different artists developed their styles.
What is Katherine's favorite art form?Their favorite art form is sketching since you don’t need many materials to sketch and it’s a very versatile way to create art. They sketch anywhere, everywhere and on anything…including on themselves! They rarely come home from school without new drawings all over their hands and arm!
