This portrait shows Jack’s ability to think beyond traditional art. Using a grid for accuracy, he recreated Benson Boone’s face with careful attention to detail, demonstrating focus and strong technical skill. What makes this portrait truly unique, is how Jack chose to fill it. Instead of shading with pencil alone, he used handwritten song lyrics to create the shadows and contours of the face. By blending visual art with music, Jack turned a traditional portrait into much more creative.
