Elliott develops his characters through a hands-on process that begins with sketching, moves into clay sculpture, and finishes with carefully painted details. He enjoys designing each figure from the ground up, using form, texture, and color to suggest personality and mood. His work often changes as he builds, allowing ideas to grow naturally through regular making.

Elliott is inspired by imaginative artists and storytellers who create character-driven worlds, including Jim Henson, Tim Clarke (Boglins), and Tim Burton. He’s especially drawn to practical effects, puppetry, and creature design. His own sketches, stories, travel experiences, and everyday observations often spark new characters and ideas.

Elliott’s favorite art form is three-dimensional character sculpture. Although he enjoys and appreciates many forms of art, he especially likes working with his hands and exploring how materials like clay, paint, and texture can shape a character’s expression or presence. Building in 3D allows him to think spatially and bring ideas into the physical world.
