Tell us about Elia's artwork.

Elia’s artwork takes many forms. However the key thread in all of her artwork is storytelling and the ability to bring people along a journey. Her work often encourages reimagining real life scenarios inclusive of courage, fear, and belonging.

Who or what inspires Elia to create?

Elia literally sees the world through high visual processing. It’s how she makes sense out of the world for herself and others. Elia uses art as an active learning technique that includes visuals to improve comprehension and recall, often referred to in research as the "drawing effect," which enhances memory by combining visual, motor, and semantic coding.

What is Elia's favorite art form?

Illustration is by far Elias favorite art form, then mixed-media form, assembling art thru repurposed and reimagined materials.
