Coral works in many mediums, but excels and is known for her cosplays and SFX makeup. She is known in the horror and cosplay community as “Kid Dreadful”. Coral enjoys appearing and vending at conventions while promoting her work as Kid Dreadful. Her handmade costumes, ghost plushies, dolls and paintings are always a hit! More impressively, nearly all of her projects reuse and repurpose everyday items that have been thrifted and/or saved from the trash!

Coral finds inspiration in music, movies, nature and the beauty in darker themes in life. “I like to draw inspiration from things that are different. Things that most people either don’t like or don’t pay attention to. I like combining opposites in an unexpected way. Things that make you ask questions and want to learn more or take a deeper look. The unexpected.”

Coral gravitates to sculpture and painting most often. “ It’s so hard to choose a favorite art form! I do really like painting and sculpting a lot. Starting with a blank canvas or just a slab of clay you can let your imagination run wild. There is no right or wrong way to create. Usually I start with one idea and it morphs into something so much more intense than I planned. The ideas keep coming and I just keep building. It’s so much fun.” Coral
