Charlotte's artwork is colorful and vibrant. She enjoys painting, watercolors, and oil pastels. Her favorite pieces have been of animals. In her art class she is fortunate to work with many mediums, including canvas, cloth, knitting, clay and cardboard. Charlotte is a bit feisty and her artwork reflects her love of color. She enjoys drawing and shading and painting most. Her artwork has evolved from silhouettes and shadows to detail oriented drawings with specific details to enhance the subject

Inspiration comes from her life - friends, pets, ,family, her school and sports communities and favorite books and stories. Her weekly art teachers, Ms. Bickel and Ms. Kim, inspire her to think beyond the immediate and pull from creative ideas and whimsical beliefs of what could be. Charlotte's inspiration comes from characters she has been introduced to that she creates new stories with them as a main character and from nature and animals.

Charlotte's favorite art form is watercolor. She enjoys sketching a scene and using her paintbrush to make it colorful. She likes to mix colors together and the transitions she can create between them. Another favorite art is cakes! We are fortunate to have top notch bakers nearby who offer child decorating classes - she has made some beautiful cakes, that are delicious after they are visually enjoyed.
