Which young artist will display their work in a museum, appear on The Joy of Painting, and win $20,000?
Learn MoreCaellum had a stroke caused by a tangerine sized tumor in the left side of his brain. This left him without the use of the right side of his body. Drawing is the things he spends so much time doing. For months he's worked to regain the use of his hand so he can continue to create. He loves drawing monsters based on games like Poppy's Playtime and 5 Nights at Freddy's. He also loves drawing dinosaurs. Mostly anything he thinks is scary. But he does draw nice creatures for his 2 little sisters.
Who or what inspires Caellum to create?Caellum is inspired by his own imagination as well as the world around him. Monsters and dinosaurs are his favorite subjects to draw. Often he pulls ideas from video games and movies. But he and his 2 older brothers talk about new monsters and Caellum brings them to life.
What is Caellum's favorite art form?Mainly he prefers pencils, but he's also painted with both acrylic and water color and used markers. Cartoon style is his absolute favorite style. But he tries to be as accurate as possible with portions and shading. Since his stroke, he says shading is the hardest part because it takes so much hand control.
