Brayden’s grandfather lost his best friend and almost his own life in a motorcycle accident in high school. Brayden’s piece is meant to show that some of the most beautiful things can be dangerous at the same time. Brayden likes to say “every rose has its thorn.”

Brayden is constantly applying himself to the best of his ability in whatever he does. He believes that it would be a waste for one to not use the gifts that they have been given for something so breathtaking. Brayden has followed deeply in his faith with God, trusting that even when what is ahead of him is unseen, focusing on the task in front of him is most important.

Brayden’s favorite art form is most definitely charcoal. I see true patience when he is rubbing in and readjusting the smallest of details to the appropriate shade. He tells me that experimenting with how to use paint brushes for the background has been a fun experience for him… well not all the time, and finding ways to use each and every tool differently is what makes it unique to him.
