Tell us about Avery's artwork.

Avery loves to draw and paint. She paints mostly with acrylic and oil paints right now. She loves drawing portraits, and painting nature and animals. She just won an art contest at her school for creating a Valentine Gram painting for ASB as a fundraiser. She’s self taught and also takes a drawing class right now but she has so much natural talent!

Who or what inspires Avery to create?

Avery is inspired by her family and by her active imagination. She thinks up what she wants to create and goes to work getting it on paper. She knows I love Christmas so she painted a Christmas scene for me. She gives her friends cards with her artwork on them as gifts and uses her art in her regular school program also. She’s inspired to create for others just to see them smile.

What is Avery's favorite art form?

Painting. She loves to practice and teach herself new tricks to get to the finished product. She blends color and shades like a pro and practices until she gets her desired outcome. She makes me so proud with her perseverance.
