Tell us about Ashlyn's artwork.

Ashlyn’s artwork and creative projects are primarily done in black in white or deep earth tones to show that not all beautiful things are colorful, and sometimes the most divine pieces are done in great detail with little color. Her art has more meaning than what meets the eye, and there is a story behind each piece. She has a love for the most simple things in life and believes joy comes with finding the beauty in those things.

Who or what inspires Ashlyn to create?

She is inspired by what is found in the darkest corners of everyday life, such as a fallen tree or even the bit of light in an alleyway. She believes beauty can be found in sadness, just as much as it is in happiness. Feelin sadness is a celebration of knowing what happiness feels like and that can be found in just about anyone. Eyes are ultimately her biggest inspiration, as they’re a looking glass into one’s soul and a person’s way of viewing the world around them.

What is Ashlyn's favorite art form?

Ashlyn’s overall favorite art form would be fashion because it is customization and a representation of buried emotion. It is rightfully said to be art and architecture all in one because not only is it fun and creative, but great thought must be put into the durability of the outfit and what ties it together. She feels that fashion is a way to tell a story in great detail, and the biggest way for one to express themselves on a daily basis
