Which young artist will display their work in a museum, appear on The Joy of Painting, and win $20,000?
Learn MoreArt comes so naturally to Aria. She’s always sketching anime characters, painting, or drawing in her unique style. She can freehand on any device, from paper and easel to iPad, or her computer. She designs her own pins, makes fuse bead art, and can bring original characters to life from nothing but her imagination. What I love most is watching her get lost in her work. You can see how much joy it brings her. Every piece she makes has her heart in it and her style is so distinctly hers.
Who or what inspires Aria to create?Aria is inspired by the people she loves and the world as she sees it. She adores shojo and chibi anime styles, and there’s nothing that makes her happier than creating art she can gift to friends and family. When she’s drawing, you can see her eyes light up as she gets lost in her art; she’s completely in her own paradise. Art isn’t something she chooses to do, it’s just part of who she is. What I love most is that she gets to be herself & share that with everyone around her.
What is Aria's favorite art form?Aria’s favorite art form is freehand drawing her own original characters. It doesn’t matter what you give her, whether it’s paper, an iPad, an easel, or even just a napkin. She can create any where, any time. There’s something magical about watching her bring a completely new character to life from scratch. She loves the freedom of freehand work because it lets her imagination flow directly into whatever surface she’s using. No tracing, no references, just pure creativity.
